COURSE REGISTRATION POLICY

Terms and Conditions

General Requirements

Rescue and other emergency service training courses are strenuous, physical programs. Students may be required to work at heights, in confined spaces and lift/carry heavy objects. Rescue is also inherently dangerous. All students will be required to sign an assumption of risk and agreement of terms waiver. All students must be at least 18 years of age. Click here to download a copy of the waiver.

Full payment of the registration fee must be made at the time of registration. Payment can be made online via our booking system.

Registrations

Registrations may be made up until midnight before the start date of the course. Ronin reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason including, but not limited to: an insufficient number of registrations, unsafe conditions, inadequate facilities, or an act of god.
In regards to the minimum number of registrations, the course will be confirmed or cancelled 14 days before the start date. With respect to other variables such as weather, as rescue courses heavily rely on the outdoor environment, the course may be rescheduled at any time.

Refunds for withdrawals

Refunds less a 10% service charge may be given for withdrawals received in writing to info@roninrescue.com prior to 30 days before the start date of the course. A 50% refund will be issued for a withdrawal 15-29 days from the course start date. No refunds for registration withdrawals will be issued within 14 days of the course start date.

Cancellations by Ronin

For cancellations by Ronin within 14 days of the course start date, or throughout the course, course dates will be rescheduled. If an attendee is unable to attend on the new dates, full or partial credit will be issued, at Ronin’s discretion. This credit can be applied to future open courses within 12 months of the cancellation.

Military Promotion

Veterans and active service personnel of the Canadian Forces and NATO Allies are entitled to a discount on any open enrolment course offered by Ronin. Promotion codes can be entered at checkout. Please ensure your Canadian Forces ID or military ID (certificate of service, DD214, MPRR, etc) is included with your registration. Proof of identification will be required before enrolment is accepted. Any attempt to use the promotion code by a person who is not a veteran or active service military will result in the registration being voided, and the person being removed from the course with no refund. Furthermore, your name will be sent to local authorities to begin a Stolen Valour file.

Ticket Processing Fees

Effective May 01 2024, we will begin adding on the following fees for our online ticket sales. Be advised that Cheque, EFT or Cash is still accepted without any additional charges.

Credit Card Processing Fee - 3%

Paypal Processing Fee - 3%
