    8 Years Later: Line of Duty Death of Two Fellow Firefighters

    On February 4, 2007, a structure fire in Winnipeg, Manitoba, was reported to 9-1-1. What was supposed to be an “ordinary” and “routine” attached garage fire, proved to be anything but that, as well as an incident that these Winnipeg Fire Fighters would never forget. Only a few minutes after arriving, two firefighters were dead and two others had been severely burned. It was Super Bowl Sunday and the temperature, with the wind chill in Winnipeg, was minus 40 degrees Celsius. I
